Is this the worst videogame generation yet? There is nothing out there (as of yet) you could call a masterpiece, a truly must have game.
This gen has been modest in terms of quality, so far, to say the least.
Last generation it was just about games, but now consoles have just become minimum spec PC's with frequent firmware updates, game installs, game patches, DLC, and built-in browsers,etc.
Also, i really miss Japanese developed games, last gen there was loads, high quality games that offered truly unique experiences.

OK, so i just downloaded this and gave it a spin. It's another stunning Capcom PC conversion that measures up to Street Fighter IV, Devil May Cry 4 and Lost Planet before it.
The MT Framework engine is excellent, in fact, Capcom should whore the engine out to other developers as a FPS would be stunning using such an engine.

I was here when it was Next Gen Biz and stayed despite the name change.
I thought the podcasts on Next Gen Biz were great. Those podcasts are definitely missed. I agree on the fanboy bait, there is too much of that shit going on in this site.
Also, why review the worst version of Dragon Age: Origins i.e. the 360/console version and not the best version the of game i.e. the PC version?
Honestly, Edge is fucked. I'm just glad the last issue i bought of the mag was 5 years ago. The mag isn't worth the paper it's printed on!
Got to laugh at Edge! What turns out to be a bad game for them today, turns out to be a fucking great game for them 5+ years later in their Time Extended feature.
Fact is, MS fucked up this gen with their hardware! It doesn't take a fanboy to acknowledge that either.
The fact that MS still haven't sorted the problems out (even after 4 years of releasing the system) is just criminal on their behalf.
I'm sick to death of First Person Shooters. I've had enough of them to last me nine incarnations!
This industry can be doing better than just "shooters".
