A Game Investment conference will take place on April 28 in New York with the aim of covering investment opportunities within the games industry.

Event organisers say the conference is aimed at investors seeking to sort out the direction of the game industry over the next couple of years and developers looking to raise capital for their projects and studios.

Game Path’s Game Investment Conference East (GIC East) will take place on Wednesday, April 28 at the Hudson Hotel in New York. Speakers will provide insight on the future of digital distribution, social games and the viability of new platforms while analysts will recommend funding strategies for the new decade.

The one-day event will offer two tracks, one aimed at investors and one for game studio executives:
