Lead UI Artist - FreeStyleGames

FreeStyleGames are now looking for an enthusiastic & creative candidate to expand, develop and lead our UI Art team.
 
The ideal candidate is expected to have proven experience within a similar role however this shouldn’t prevent senior candidates without lead experience from applying.
 
The candidate should be exceptionally creative, a good communicator, confident and comfortable giving feedback in both informal and formal review scenarios. They will need to have a positive team contribution showing high levels of enthusiasm and have a keen and fresh eye for graphic design. Finally, the candidate must be technically excellent and be able to continue the development of the FSG Frontend system and pipeline.
 
The successful candidate will report to the Creative Director & Art Manager and be expected to create artwork to the highest standards and take ownership for all areas of the game UI.
 
Responsibilities

  • Point of contact and owner for DJ Hero UI artwork
  •  Ability to concept, design and create all aspects of UI artwork
  •  Technical implementation of screen designs and concepts
  • Use personal and communication skills to influence the UI design and flow
  • Mentoring and development of UI artists
  • Continued development of the UI Art pipeline
  • Development of best practices
 
Attributes
  • Positive and outgoing personality
  • Expert in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • A genuine talent for graphic design demonstrated through your portfolio or website
  •  Talent with AfterEffects (or similar motion graphics software)
  • Experience in a previous Lead Position
  • Good fine art skills
  • Experience on all next generation consoles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proven track record of delivering artwork at the highest quality
  • Have a passion for games
 
Major Pluses
  • Experience in 3DS Max or similar 3D applications.
  • Experience in Web Design, Flash or print
  •  Hold a Degree in music, visual media, or film
  •  Scripting Experience
